Aalborg Taffel Akvavit is the uncrowned king of aquavits - the original crystal clear Danish caraway aquavit. It was aquavit pioneer Isidor Henius who in 1846 first put the bottle of the characteristic red-white label on the lunch table. And it has remained a permanent fixture ever since. Aalborg Taffel Akvavit - or Rød Aalborg as it is also known - continues to be Denmark's most popular spirit. It appears on both the Danes' lunch tables and at the banquets hosted by the Danish Royal Palace.
